Technology Audit Associate – $100-120K Plus Bonus

Job description – IT Audit Associate — Internal Audit’s primary mission is to provide assurance to the Board of Directors and Executive Management that Client’s businesses are well managed and meeting strategic, operational and risk management objectives. The team engages with senior leaders and all of our client’s individual business units globally to understand and advise on the risks in their business, evaluate the effectiveness of key processes and assist in the design of best practices that can improve their results. Internal Audit’s work builds confidence that our client will meet its obligations to clients, shareholders, employees and other stakeholders.

 

Our Audit Teams “At a Glance”

Business Audit

With teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, the Business Audit Team performs audits covering all of our client’s business units, including investment and asset management, risk management, operations, finance, and legal and compliance.

Technology Audit

The Technology Audit Team, also in the US, Europe and Asia, performs design review and testing related to technology controls across application systems and infrastructure components such as databases, operating systems, data centers and messaging platforms. The Technology Data Analytics team, based in the US, performs in-depth data mining and analysis in support of audit controls testing.

Role Description

The Technology Audit Associate will be responsible for reviewing, testing and assessing technology controls in business-integrated audits in which there is close interaction with business and technology partners, providing clear illustrations of how technology is used at the firm to support and deliver against our business agenda.

In addition to supporting business-integrated audits, this role involves participation in technology audits across all aspects of information technology, including hardware, database, messaging and network.

This role will be based in New York.  Some travel will be required, approximating 15%, within EMEA, APAC and Americas.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong experience in the fields of technology audit or related fields.
  • Understanding of operating systems, databases, networks, messaging platforms and other areas of technology operations.
  • Understanding of asset management products and business processes preferable.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills; strong writing skills, particularly as related to audit reports and management presentations.
  • BA/BS is required, preferably in computer science, management information systems, engineering or a technology field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CEH, etc.
